He was the least proud person on earth." v3

This will stop one in their tracks. How often do we look at people and find something to criticize that we think isn't "worthy" choice for a saint? What they watch? How they spend their time? How much they attend extra meetings at church? What they wear? Their spending? How fast they drive?

This is something I have been pursuing in recent years. A humility that doesn't judge or criticize people based on externals. A Romans 14 humility.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02587382812669823711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103130965496559660.post-4794582544657933062010-04-27T08:12:27.488-06:002010-04-27T08:12:27.488-06:00oops. I accidentally assumed the last section of chapter 11 was the opening part of chapter 12. and then when I turned the page to where chap 12 actually DID start I thought it was chapter 13 if that makes any sense. I did think, hmmm, what a short chapter! but didn't register. That's me in the morning!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02587382812669823711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103130965496559660.post-33929624048825161462010-04-26T21:33:30.706-06:002010-04-26T21:33:30.706-06:00Okay--I cannot find quail in Numbers 12. =)
I thin...Okay--I cannot find quail in Numbers 12. =)
I think I am reading it right when I see Miriam (and Aaron) being punished for questioning Moses authority...his uniqueness in God speaking through him to the people. I must say, God solved that authority issue in a hurry.

I always like the line in brackets in my Bible: v3 "Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face fo the earth."

I would really have liked to have met the man of whom this is said. I must remember to look for Moses humility as we read his story.Judehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09782268745218985134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103130965496559660.post-89591033462693599382010-04-26T10:02:52.160-06:002010-04-26T10:02:52.160-06:00Amen. Just yesterday the kids where mad about more snow after a week of hot sun and I told them it seems depressing but God knows what he is doing and all the moisture from the snow was needed. It was very very dry around her just weeks ago before we had some rainy and snowy days. It looks so much better and greener out side now.Mac an Rothaichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09616261317257053649noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8103130965496559660.post-8123061268553594142010-04-26T08:51:44.800-06:002010-04-26T08:51:44.800-06:00Like we saw God sovreign over the rain and nature ...Like we saw God sovreign over the rain and nature in the Haggai passage, again we see it here, with God bringing the quail. I love this theme. God directing nature to bless or withold blessing. God directing everything.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02587382812669823711noreply@blogger.com
