v8-11 "Even if my letter made you sad, I am not sorry I wrote it. At first I was sorry, because it made you sad, butyou were sad only for a short time. Now I am happy, not because you were made sad, but because your sorrow made you change your lives. You became sad the way God wanted you to, so you were not hurt by us in any way. The kind of sorrow God wants makes people change their hearts and ways. This leads to salvation and you can not be sorry for that."

Wow. Was this timely. Totally turned some major lightbulbs on for me. In light of what we have been reading lately about speaking truth. Sometimes being honest is raw and ugly, and awkward in the moment and you wish you didn't have to "go there". But sometimes we are called to go there, and it won't neccessarily be pretty, but something beautiful can come from it.

mmmm, very true. When the end result is God's glory, then the ends justify the means, so to speak.
I had an interesting conversation at work the other day that I'm trying to make sense out of...it fit in with what we've been talking about regarding prayer and God's hand in our lives. But I'll save it for later.
