Galatians 1

I find it remarkable that Paul, who was not "discipled" by anyone, except the Lord Himself, turned out to be the apostle who really had the most long lasting and far reaching influence. He was so grounded in the gospel, so effective and strong despite never having been part of Jesus' entourage or taken under the wing of one of the earlier apostles.

My devotional notes say; Paul formed his thinking not by consulting with others but by spending time aloe with the Lord. Paul spent three years in Arabiea in personal study and meditation.

I love this. He didn't go running to some man to say "teach me the truth!" He retreated quietly with the Lord and delved into His word and said, "Father, teach me the truth."

I was going to say the same. How remarkable was his transformation. How beautiful.
I love too that he wasn't "taught" by anyone except the Lord, but for the brief period (15 days) that he spent with Peter (and a bit with James). What a beautiful time that must have been for him, three years spent solely with God.
