"When DAvid's men came to the threshing floor of Kidon, the oxen stumbled, and Uzziah reached out his hand to steady the Ark. The Lord was angry with Ussah and killed him, because he had touched the Ark. So Uzzah died there in the presence of God. David was angry because the Lord had punished Uzzah in his anger. Now that place is called the Punishment of Uzzah." vv9-11

So sobering. I don't have a hard time understanding the lofty anger of the Lord. I just have trouble understanding it in the light of His graciousness. Was grace not extended before Christ? Were acts like this meant to serve to show us how incredibly on our face honored we should be about the incredible grace extended to us at the cross?

"David was afraid of God that day...." v12 and yet Jesus says "do not be afraid little flock, for God has seen fit to give you the kingdom" (quoting that on the fly, I think that's how it goes?"

Wow.

I like reading your thoughts on the passages because you often voice what is in my head and can't get out.
