Exodus 2

I love this chapter. How when Jochebed had her back up against a wall God provided the only help that could truly give her peace of mind over her son's safety. The daughter of Pharaoh herself. I also love verse 25 where it says;

"The Lord saw the troubles of the people of Israel and He was concerned about them."

He sees, He cares, He moves on our behalf when our backs are up against the wall.

Mine says (v24-25) "So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged them"

I also love the way that God provided for her as a mother, especially in such a horrible time. I love the previous chapter with the midwives - maybe you've already commented on that - what an awesome group of women! They feared God and so they didn't do what Pharoah had told them to do and lied to him instead. And therefore God "dealt well" with them and provided households for them. How beautiful.
