ahhhhh, what a beautiful passage. "Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon". Abundantly pardon. How beautiful.
and v12 "For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands" What an image.

"Why spend your money on something that is not real food? Why work for something that doesn't really satisfy you? Listen closely to me, and you will eat what is good; your soul will enjoy the rich food that satisfies. Come to me and listen, listen so that you may live....

Rain and snow fall from the sky and don't return without watering the ground... The same thing is true of the words I speak. They will not return to me empty. They make the things happen that I want to happen, and they succeed in doing what I send them to do." verses 2,3,10,11

I loved these verses this morning. In seeking to consciously choose HIM this season, to focus on Him and keep things simple and beautiful and centred on Him, this passage was like a fragrant balm. He is the greatest gift, money can not buy happiness, He fulfills us and His Word is the daily gift that empowers us to become daily offerings (gifts) to Him.

If I had to pick one "discipline" that my kids took to heart out of all the training we seek to instill in them, it's that daily dose of Him that is offered to us by opening up His Love Story and reading just a few lines of His Story. Truly, it's such a little thing, with the biggest impact. Truly I feel like I receive a beautifully wrapped gift in the word each day. And in sharing it publicly, it`s like wrapping up my present of thanksgiving and offering it back to the Lord.
