"be full of joy in the Lord." v1 This has been on my mind alot lately. I want to be full of JOY. Because of Him.

"Watch out for those who... demand to cut the body. We are the ones who are truly circumcised. We worship God through His Spirit, and our pride is in Christ Jesus. We do not put trust in ourselves or anything we can do." v2,3

I love this exhortation against legalism. We should be passionate about a person, not a list of rules. We should love people based on who God has created them to be, not on how they measure up to a list of ideals.

"Those things... (keeping the law) were important to me, but now I think they are worth nothing because of Christ. Not only those things, but I think all things are worth nothing compared with the greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord." v7-8 I LOVE this. It's not about us. It's all about Him.

"I want to know Christ and the power that raised Him from the dead. I want to share in His sufferings and become like Him in His death." v10 My heart cries out Amen to the first part, and then I get to the second part and the air just rushes out of me. Can I truly say that? Not with any great conviction and bravado that's for sure. I want to be able to say it, but I'm not that mature yet.

"They do whatever their bodies want, they are proud of their shameful acts, and tey think only about earthly things." v19 so, so, so sad.

"But our home is in heaven, and we are waiting for our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ to come from heaven." 20

Amen. Come Lord Jesus.
