Jeremiah 9

this is a very solemn chapter. Jeremiah is wishing for enough tears to cry on behalf of God's people.

The women are to teach their daughters wailing, and their neighbours a dirge. Men will fall/die and their corpses will not be recovered and buried, but just left in the open field to be walked on.

this is pretty heavy stuff.

sobering indeed. My marked passage from this chapter was;

"But if someone wants to brag, let him brag that he understands and knows me. Let him brag that I am the Lord, and that I am kind and fair, adn that I do things that are right on the earth." v24
