I tell you the truth, the person who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs in some other way, is a thief and a robber." v1

Couldn't help but think of Jadis climbing the wall in the Magician's Nephew. Such a vivid allegory.

"I know my sheep as my Father knows me. and my sheep know me, as I know the Father." v15

I have come to a state in life where this is what is all about. Knowing Christ fully. Being so steeped in the life He lived and example that He set that it is the driving force behind the way I choose to live. Not that I achieve it by any means, but achieving even consciousness of the difference between a life that pursues earthly gain and a life that seeks spiritual gain is huge. To think that He calls us to "know Him as He knows the Father." It awakens a great passion in me to live and think on a higher plain.

"How long will you make us wonder about you? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly." v24 We don't like enigmas do we? We don't like mysteries that we have trouble solving. We want to have answers and be steeped in assurances, but with Christ, we will never fully grasp the reality of His plan, and we need to accept that it's okay and walk in faith and worship Him all the more because it shows us how amazing His love is for such fumbling children as us, who really don't get it most of the time, but if we love Him, if we are humble, a humble and contrite heart He will not despise.

"It is written in your law that God said 'I said, you are gods.' This scripture called those people gods who receive God's message and Sripture is always true. So why do you say that I speak against God because I said 'I am God's son?"

I don't remember this verse. How strange! It almost made me think of Mormon theology where they consider themselves gods. I am very curious to study this verse more as it is new to me.
