2 Chronicles 6

When I see the honor bestowed on the Israelites here, that God chose to take up residence with them, a consecrated nation it just blows me away how He has gone so much farther through Christ, choosing our own bodies to be consecrated as His temple, choosing to dwell WITHIN us. It is so humbling and awe inspiring. And half of the time we don't even realize the depths of what that means, God in us. God with us. Emmanuel.

"But God, can you really live here o nthe earth with people? The sky and the highest place in heaven cannot contain you. Surely this house cannot contain you." v18

I was just about to type out that same verse.

I love Solomon's prayer of dedication - all the "if Your people do this, and then repent and turn to You, then hear from heaven...".
I love this one..."If they return to You with all their heart and with all their soul...then hear from heaven, from Your dwelling place, their prayer and supplications, and maintain their cause and forgive Your people who have sinned against You" vv.36-39
