I LOVE what God says about Himself in vv6-7, but I also love Moses's response:
"Moses made haste to bow low toward the earth and worship..."let the Lord go along in our midst, even though the people are so obstinate, and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your own possession" v8-9

amen to that.

"I am the Lord. The Lord is a God who shows mercy, who is kind, who doesn't become angry quickly, who has great lover and faithfulness and is kind to thousands of people. The Lord forgives people for evil, for sin, and for turning against Him..." v 6-7a

What a merciful and loving God. Yes it goes on to say how he punishes the wicked, but for those who are humble and turn to them, He is grace and mercy and love. How could we not?

I love how God tells them to celebrate so many different celebrations here, but to refrain from doing things the way the natives doing, to celebrate things in honor of HIM, that will bring recognition of what HE has done and is going to do. I think it is a pity that christian culture has given up celebrating traditions that make us mindful of God's goodness and grace. To celebrate GOD.

I love the shining of Moses face. I want my face to shine. I want it to be evident that I have "been with the Lord" and am filled with His graces.
