Jeremiah 40

This was one of those days where I read and my eyes glazed over and nothing seemed to apply to me or reach out to speak to me.

I am sure it is all my fault. I will try to read over it again later when I am less distracted and more tuned to what I can glean from it.

I thought it spoke of strong character that Jeremiah stayed with the people who so misstreated him for sharing God's message... you would think he would want to be away from them after all that but he stayed with his people. After all, that is what prophets are to do right? Stay and speak to the people for God, whether they (the prophet and the people) like it or not.

It is interesting to see how quickly people started to return after all the war.
