"Be my holy people. Be holy because I am the Lord your God. Remember and obey my laws. I am the Lord, and I have made you holy." v8

This verse really jumped out at me. You know how people often say that the gospel is evident in the OT if you are looking for it? I think this is a case of that. I never usually saw it too much. But here for instance, He is saying, "I have made you holy." and the whole first part is basically an admonition to "act like it." You ARE redeemed. I AM sanctifying you, so ACT like it. Don't shame me and take for granted what I have done and am doing for you. You are children of the King, you are a kingdom redeemed and set apart. Live up to it. Glorify me with your lives.

Some harsh punishments but I know it's because of his love for us. (Yes, that was deep I know!)
