"In those days and at that time, says the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and none shall be found; for I will pardon the remnant that I have spared."

Just reminded me of our last chapter in Ezra; the old people weeping and the young praising and how it had reminded me of all our regrets being washed away with our tears being dried by the Lord himself and this verse brought that home again. Go ahead and look for the sins, THEY ARE GONE! God's chosen remnant is PARDONED!

I am really moved by the concept of being 'called out' by the Lord lately and this chapter has given me more to think about. Yes it was about the destruction of a earthly power but I was really moved by the story of God's people, the sheep, told through out the chapter as well. They where lead astray and then devowered, the Lord allowed kingdoms to treat them as 'hunted sheep driven away by lions', but then these kingdoms 'refused to let them go', thus their punishment prophecy in this chapter...and the emergence of sheep remnant was called out and restored to its pasture "the true pasture, the Lord, the hope of their ancestors". Wow! Impressed by the imagery of the chapter!
