"They stumble because they do not obey what God says, which is what God planned to happen to them." v8

Here is the explanation for my comment in the last chapter. People "stumble" over "the rock" because it becomes an obstacle blocking them from self pursuit and aggrandizement.

"People who do not believe are living all around you and might say that you are are doing wrong. LIve such good lives that they will see the good things you do..." v12

Something different. Something sacred. Something that shines in the darkness. Something that brings peace in a chaotic world spinning frantically. We are called to be set apart. To be a notch above it all... to be an example and comfort and hope.

"A person may have to suffer even when when it is unfair, but if he thinks of God and stands the pain, God is pleased... if you suffer for doing good, and are patient, God is pleased." v19-20.

Amazing verse. This is another way of living a notch above.

"You were like sheep that wandered away, but now you have come back to the Shepherd and Protector of your souls." v25

What a beautiful verse. It makes me feel safe and warm and positively peaceful.
