Psalm 87

The Lord will keep a list of the nations. He will note, "This person was born there." v6

I get a picture of me looking over my scrapbooks. Reminiscing on the birth and events of my children's life. Surely God remembers with great love the day we were born and the days of our lives as we grow and learn and struggle and conquer by His grace.

Loved your comment PC. I was curious about the last verse-- Singers and dancers alike say, "All my springs are in you."

I looked it up but found little more then some versions say fountains instead of springs... Some authors thought it might mean all that is good that springs from life or is new and fresh (like the season spring) in life is from God...

Pieces of comment on Psalm 87 in my Bible:
According to the ancient and consistent interepretation of Jewish and Christian scholars alike, this psalm stands in l;onely isolation in the Psalter in that it foresees the ingathering of the nations into Zion as fellow citizens with Israel in the kingdom of God.

This psalm is just another piece of evidence that God has a plan. life is not random happenings with no meaning. Glory be to God!
