"When the people build a weak wall, the prophets cover it with whitewash to make it look strong. So tell those who cover a wall with whitewash that it will fall down. Rain will pour down, hailstones will fall and a stormy wind will break the wall down. When the wall has fallen down people will ask you, "Where is the whitewash you used on the wall?" v12-12

Ouch. There is absolutely no benefit in "covering things up". When there is decay, rot, mold, we need to address THAT, not how to cover it up. This really hit home to me this week, it's not a good idea to say "we're doing really good, we're doing better than others", we need to address our weaknesses and arm and equip ourselves to have a wall that is built immovable on the firm foundation. The foundation of our relationship in Jesus Christ upon which all other pursuits must be built.

"these evil prophets deceive my people by saying "all is peaceful when there is no peace at all." it is as if the people have built a flimsy wall and these prophets are trying to hold it together by covering it with whitewash." verse 10

Satan wanted people to turn against God,so he hardend these evil prophets hearts, but God didn't want this to happen so he will distroy all the evil prophets.
