"The LORD's arrow of victory.." God always hits the target & always wins!
"...so they threw the man's body into Elisha's tomb. When the body touched Elisha's bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet." WOW!! You would think there would be more written about this than just a general statement! lol that would have been an amazing thing to witness! :-)

Many kings, many sins but the power of God was still present in the lives of his men like Elisha. Even sick and dying he was speaking the Lords words into the kings life in hope of him actually hearing...

I always find the part about Elisha's bones amazing.

"But the Lord was kind to the Israelites; He had mercy on them and helped them because of His agreement with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. To this day He has nevr wanted to destroy them or reject them."

This was so moving. Even when the Lord hands us over to our own evil devices, it is not because of rejection, it is always with the desire that we will wake up and turn back to Him. His desire is always reconciliation.
