Matthew 12

This is why I love reading the bible this way. Yesterday the OT look at the Sabbath, today the New. Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath. What I took out of that first part is that if my heart belongs fully to Jesus, if He is my Lord and my desires are attuned to Him, then what I *do* or don't *do* on the Sabbath is irrelevant. It comes down to the heart. But then that old voice of legalism starts whispering "but, but.... the OT says...." and trips me up. Look to Jesus. He was not a legalist. He cut to the quick and examined motive and heart. I must do the same with myself and all will be well.
