1 Chronicles 2

So I have to admit, in light of Max's introduction to this book that I posted last week, this chapter held slightly more intrigue for me than it may have otherwise. When you think of each one of these names having a life story behind it... tragedy, triumph, successes and failures. It pulls at your heartstrings somehow. I'm not sure I ever realized before that Judah married a Canaanite (kind of accounts for the mess that came of his family later in life if you think about it, shows that from a young age his heart was not set on the paths of the Lord). A number of references to people marrying their slave women or permitting their children to marry slaves. Real people. Real stories. Real mistakes. Real cause and effect.
