"Reuben should have received the special privileges of the oldest son, but he had.... (sinned).. so those special privileges were given to Joseph's sons." 1

Kind of seems like a reflection of what happened to Moses. God has good plans. When we sabotage them by going our own way, we can no longer hope for the special privileges that accompany God's good plans.

"They began worshiping the gods of the people in that land, and those were the people God was destroying." 25

Ditto.

"They cried out to God during the battle, and He answered their prayer because they trusted in Him.So the Hagrites and all their allies were defeated."vs-20

You should trust in God because God will then answer your prayer. Some people ask God to help them to do something but they just say words and don't really trust in God,I even do that.

God helped his people fight against the Hagrites and all who were helping them. He handed all of those enemies over to his people. That's because they cried out to Him during the battle. He answered their prayers, because they trusted in Him. vs-20

Gods people asked Him for help when they needed help and He helped them, so when you need help pray to God to help you and He will.

vs. 1 - We should always remember the consequences of sin - often ruined lives - ours and others.
