Job 17

one's heart just breaks for him. one just wants to implore God to finish the suffering. To either bring him to a place of recovery or put him out of his misery. It's so tough to watch someone in this state of suffering. You have to give it to his friends, at least they were there. They may not have had all the right reactions or comfort or encouragement but, they were there. they did care.

vs.14 reminds me of Jesus' words "who is my mother and who are my brothers? those that do the will of my Father who sent me."

Learning this week about the eternal-ness of having spiritual children as opposed to natural-born. One means nothing without the other.
