Gen 20:5 "In integrity of heart and in innocency of hands I have done this."

Sometimes something happens that is not on account of bad motives or wicked intent, but we discover after the fact that it created a wrong, albeit intentionally. our responsibility is to take ownership of that and seek to learn from it how to practice deeper discretion, caution, and care in the future.

Psalm 45. At first I just didn't "get much out of" this psalm, but then I found some interesting notes in the "Quest" Bible. It talks about the psalm having layers of meaning. "It was composed originally to celebrate the marriage of the king. In Israel, the king symbolized the nation. To celebrate the king was to celebrate God's People. Later, this psalm took on a larger meaning, referring not just to the king -- ritually anointed for the office -- but to the Anointed One, the Messiah."

Vs 6 says "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever" This is quoted in Hebrews 1:8-9 to refer to Christ.

Isaiah 49 v3 "...you're my dear servant... through whom I'll shine."

v8 "I form you and use you to reconnect the people with me."

beautiful. we are not our own. We belong to the author of our souls and shapers of our destinies. May we never lose sight of the reason for our existence.
