II Corinthians 4

v 6b "the same God who made His light shine in our hearts by letting us know the glory of God that is in the face of Christ Jesus."

Glory in the face reminded me of Moses, whose face shone with the glory of God after meeting with him. He covered it with a veil when the reflected glory started to fade after being away from the Presence. How about me? I feel His glory warming me when I am sitting in His presence. But does that glory fade as I get up and wander about my day, losing touch with Him in the midst of the mundane? I hope not. It's my hearts desire to learn to experience and reflect Him in the every day... in every way. He has made His light shine in our hearts the verse says. That is beautiful. The next verse goes on to say;

v 7 "we have this treasure from God!"

v10 "so that the life of Jesus can also be seen in our bodies.

v11 so that the life of Jesus can also be seen in our bodies.

v12 "but life is working in you."

wow. I love it.

v18 "we set our eyes on not what we see but on what we cannot see. What we see will last only a short time but what we cannot see will last forever."

I think this is my new life verse. It's perfect.

Rejoice in the Lord always! And again I say Rejoice!

(that wasn't in there, but it's in my heart). Have a blessed Sunday.

so full of explanation and hope that you would miss the promises written here if you don't break it down to understand.

I will write v.7-9 to remember I'm not alone or lacking because of HIM!

7But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

Come Jesus, come!

I love that last section too.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day"
In the pressure cooker, so to speak.
I think that last verse (18) will be a life verse for me too.
