Ephesians 2

v 3 "We should have suffered God's angerbecause of the way we were. We were the same as all other people. But God's mercy is great, and He loved us very much. Though we were spiritually dead because of the things we did against God, He gave us new life with Christ. You have been saved by God's grace."

Enter mercy and grace. And all Israel (at some point) will be saved by this same mercy and grace. What a thrill.

I especially love this verse;

"And He raised us up with Christ and gave us a seat with Him in the heavens. He did this for those in Christ Jesus so that FOR ALL FUTURE TIME HE COULD SHOW THE VERY GREAT RICHES OF HIS GRACE BY BEING KIND TO US IN CHRIST JESUS." v6

Again, the word 'temple' comes up here. "You are like a building that was built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself is the most important stone in that building, and that whole building is joined together in Christ. He makes it grow and become a HOLY TEMPLE in the Lord. And in Christ, you, too, are being built together withthe Jews into a place where God lives through His spirit."

I LOVE when I fall behind and do catch up and see the three chapters interrelating to one another. Spectacular.

I think Ephesians may just about be my favorite book. So rich.

"And you He made alive, who were once dead in trespasses and sins...But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ..."

I thought v.14 would make a nice addition to the pursuit of peace - "For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation..."
