This is the second day in a row that God is really speaking to me in my own heart, convicting me of things that have nothing to do with the passages I have read. Thus I read them with a bit of a distracted heart and then let them go so that I can concentrate on what He is telling me and asking me to address.

I love that. Joab was determined that he and his men would do their best, and that the rest was up to God. And if they were to lose, well they would have done their part and it would have been the Lord's will. Beautiful.
