Hebrews 7

well I have to say, I wish I understood better the importance and meaning of most of that chapter. It sounds like there's a lot that I am missing.
anyway, what I did get was this:

"For it was fitting for us to have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; who does not need daily...to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because He did this once for all when He offered up Himself. For the Law appoints men as high priests who are weak, bu the word of the oath...appoints a Son, made perfect forever." (v.26-28)

I love how earlier they spoke about the priest being "human" so that he could identify with the people, but I love even more the perfect Son and the end of all the work.

"But now a better hope has been given to us, and with this hope we can come near to god." v19

That about sums it up for me. The rest is icing. Glad to "see" you here, girl. Been praying for you and Berry Baby all week. Hope you can make it out tonight, I think you would be moved and touched by what Lou is sharing on prayer.

(((hugs)))

Appreciate the emphasis the writer made on Jesus'priestly role and covenant being older then the Mosaic law and also eternal. I am so thankful that he is always and forever interceding for me.
