(Wisdom) will be like flowers in your hair and like a beautiful crown on your head." v9

"The way of a good person is like the light of dawn, growing brighter and brighter until full daylight." v18

Two such beautiful pictures of the loveliness and brightness in one's aspect and attitude that is born from wisdom. Some people might be really smart, but I never really consider anyone WISE unless they display a gentleness and humility and grace that only wisdom can bring. Oh how I long to grow into that!

Also,

"Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life." v23

wow. oh yeah. powerful truth there. The whole taking your thoughts captive, and transforming of our minds into the image and likeness of Christ. That is where the power for change lies. In taking every thought captive.

"Do not do as the wicked do or follow the path of evildoers. Avoid their haunts, turn away and go somewhere else. For the evil people can not sleep until they have done their evil deed for the day. They can not rest unless they have caused someone to stumble." verse 14-17

Wouldn't it be horrible to live like that?God put this passage in the Bible so that we could see how horrible it would be to live like that,so that we wont live like that,he did that because he loves us.

Lots in here! I love how Solomon gently points out his reasoning for sharing his wisdom with his sons... that his father did the same with him... that wisdom should be learned and past down within one's family.

vs.23 is a favorite of mine, especially moreso since working with teen girls.

vs. 12 and 25-27 make me picture track & field yesterday... watching E look to the side to check out the competition was not helping his speed! Fixing your gaze ahead of you... gonna dwell on that one for a bit. So easy to look behind you and sigh, pout or hunch your shoulders in defeat.

Also how I have always picked out a truly wise person:)

v 20 on to the end of this chapter really rang true for me personally. Of late I feel like I have been fighting fogs in life, everything wants you to take your eyes off the prize and not live AWARE. I have really been trying to go about my day aware of my thoughts, words, choices and feelings... not letting any of them or out side things get me distracted... it is a constant battle that has to be taken up or we will be swept away in a flood of time swiftly passing.
