2 Kings 14

This chapter impacted me with how the Lord will use the man of His choosing to accomplish His purposes but in the end even if that person is not right with God and doesn't end up getting right with God. It says that Jeroboam led Israel to sin, didn't stop sinning, and yet because the the Lord had not said that He would completely destroy the Israelites (which was on the brink of happening) "so He saved the Israelites through Jeroboam son of Jehoash".

Jehoash continued to be in rebellion to God, but God used Him to maintain His promise to Israel, how often would I think that God keeps His promise to me because of my devotion? And yet no... He keeps His promises to me because HE is true, not because I am.
