Pride + Arrogance = Shame.

Humility + Meekness = Honor.

Two equations to keep in mind when we choose which attitudes we will allow our lives to be garnished with. I have so much to learn about humility and meekness. I desire them eagerly in my spirit but oh how our inner man struggles between what we want and what comes naturally to our sin nature.

"Afterwards Mordecai returned to the palace gate, but Haman hurried home dejected and completley humiliated."v12

Do not be selfish for in the end you will be unhappy.

I just love this chapter! God is in CONTROL!Even when someone is plotting the death of one of HIS own HE can turn it around for a blessing.
Haman is in the courts waiting to tell the King his plan to hang Mordecai & ends up planning a parade for him. And to beat it all HE has to lead him through the streets proclaiming this is what the king does to the man he wants to honor! It is hard for me to imagine that God didn't get a little chuckle out of that one. lol

If we will be persistent to honor only the Lord & humble enough to realize it can't be done in our own abilities we have NOTHING to fear. :-) Oh how I long to live a humble, devoted life to my KING.
