..."you do not feed the flock. You have not made the weak strong. You have not healed the sick or put bandages on those that were hurt. You have not brought back those who strayed away or searched for the lost." v4

"I, myself will search for my sheep and take care of them.... I will save them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.... I will feed my flock and will lead them to rest... I will search for the lost, bring back those that strayed away, put bandages on those that were hurt, and make the weak strong." v12-16

"I will judge between one sheep and another, between the male sheep and the male goats." v17

"You my human sheep, are the sheep I care for, and I am your God." v31

What a stirring and beautiful chapter. First it is so sad, because people that God placed in roles of leadership fail to live up to their calling and the needs of discipleship are not met in the people. But then God shows how He will gather and bind and heal and be the One to shepherd His people when the spiritual leaders fail to fulfill their role.

This is one of the more obvious millennial passages in scripture, the reference to the judging of the sheep and goats at the second coming (Matthew 25:31-46) and the references to peace and prosperity regarding Israel. I love millennial passages. We are to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6). The peace of Jerusalem will mean the coming of Christ.

Sorry,I read the wrong day.
"Peter declared,"even if everyone else deserts you,I never will." "Peter,"Jesus replied,"the truth is this, this very night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times."
"No!"Peter insisted."Not even if I have to die with you!I will never deny you!"And all the other disciples vowed the same.vs33-35

They all did leave Jesus though. Before you make a promise you should be sure you will not break it for if you do the person you promised may feel hurt.I am sure Jesus was hurt even though he knew that they would leave him, when it actually happens it's worse than knowing it will happen.

Sorry,I read the wrong chapter.

Jesus went away a second time.He prayed, "My father,is it possible for this cup to be taken away? But if I must drink it,may what you want be done." Matthew 26 vs-42

Jesus didn't want to die,but He did die and He saved us by taking away our sins.
