"There is more hope for a foolish person than for those who think they are wise." v12

It really stood out to me in a chapter condemning foolishness from start to finish, that this verse was tucked away in the middle. However much God warns against foolishness, there appears to be something much more offensive to God about arrogance. God OPPOSES the proud. Truly, if we are wise in our own eyes, we are the biggest idiots of all because true wisdom is realizing our position before such a great and mighty God, which is one of absolute humility.

It's easy to picture a father sharing these bits of wisdom... some with a wry smile, others with the gravity they deserve. (the former for vs 4,6, 8, 10, and especially 13)

vs 4&5 stand out to me. Satan wants us to fall into a trap by baiting us with lies from the mouths of fools... just begging for us to get our righteous indignation up and spout off when really silence would be the best witness.

vs.17 is something I need to work on... MYOB!! (mind my own business!)

"When arguing with fools, don't answer their foolish arguments,or you will become as foolish as they are. When arguing with fools,be sure to answer their foolish arguments,or they will become wise in their own estimation."vs 4-5

These verses are kind of tricky but it's saying that you should answer a fools foolish question but don't agree with him instead you should rebuke him or he will think he is wise.

What a person says can be charming. But don't believe him.Seven things that God hates can fill that person's heart. vs-25

Sin can look good in the beginning but once you sin you wont fool good inside. If a person tells you to do something know is wrong, just don't do it and you will feel better inside then you would if you had do what that person told you to do.
