"Everything has already been decided. It was known long ago what each person would be. So there's no use arguing with God about your destiny" vs. 10
This brings me to the question - What about the verse "pray without ceasing" - does this include asking for safety or for someone to be healed? Your thoughts.

I totally think so. The bible says if you are sick to ask the elders to pray for you.

I think that even though God has decided how things will END UP, He has multiple inroads for bringing those things about and we have no idea how and why He may choose certain means. If He wants to use our prayers to accomplish something, then we better not balk. If we don't submit to the work He is doing, He will find another means to accomplish it.

I do believe the Bible is implicit in that God does not act on His own, forcing His will, but has always enlisted the partnership of mankind to accomplish His plans.
