II Corinthians 3

I like verse 5. "We are not saying that we can do this work ourselves. It is God who makes us able to do all that we do. He made us able to be servants of a new agreement from himself to his people. "

All we are and are able to do, is only by His power and grace.

Also love vv 8-10 about the new law, the law of the spirit that "makes people right with God" having so much more glory, than the old law of works/judgement. So uplifting and moving.

verse 14 saddens me. How unbelieving Israel can be so blinded to the Messiah and His way. How we should pray for God's beloved nation to *see* and *understand*. Surely they have so many foundational stones to help unlock the gospel message to the nations, if they would only come to realize how the pieces fit together. If you are ever looking for wonderful study fodder, I highly recommend Arnold Fruchtenbaum at http://www.ariel.org/ I can't say enough wonderful stuff about how his teaching on Jewish culture/tradition/history brings new light and understanding to scripture.

"We all show the Lord's glory, and we are being changed to be like Him. This change in us brings ever greater glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."

Wow. Just wow. Wow, wow... did I say wow? We are blessed. Those words bring me to tears and make my heart squeeze up all tight and painful, that kind of blessed.
