Psalm 5

v 7 Because of your great love, I can come into your Temple, Because I fear and respect you I can worship in your holy Temple.

Am I wrong in thinking that Love opens the door, granting us access... our response leads us nearer or keeps us at a distance? We can not truly worship if we are building walls through our stubborn disobedience can we? Granted, we can only draw near by His grace. His grace gives us the ability to fear and respect Him, thus we pleaad more grace that we may grow more surrendered.

v11-12 "But let everyone who trusts you be happy; let them sing glad songs forever. Protect those who love you and who are happy because of you. Lord, you bless those who do what is right, you protect them like a soldier's shield."

Brought back to mind yesterday's passage and the result of the Israelites unfaithfulness... captivity... loss of protection, withdrawal of blessing. Horrible consequences that in themselves are acts of grace, seeking to shake and wake a blinded nation to their sinful ways and turn them back to the God of mercy and love.

Psalm 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let then also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

Great verse, I will be thinking on that today. Leanne
