"The sacrifices in these chapters taught the Israelites how to worship God through personal commitment." Lucado

Wow. I think I *can* learn something from this.

Two phrases jump out at me in this chapter..."an aroma pleasing to the Lord" is repeated several times. This leads me to 2 Cor. 2:15-16..."For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?"
The second phrase is "add salt to all your offerings" which leads me to Matt. 5:13a "You are the salt of the earth..."
Both point to the work of Christ in us. The Old Testament joined with the New - good stuff.

Love this Nancy. Those same passages were brought to mind as I read those two partciular phrases as well, truly the NT comes alive the more we understand the old. So glad you shared this here today!
