Ezekiel 2

I love this chapter in some sad, strange way. I love the way God is telling Ezekiel to look to Him. To not let himself get all put out about the people who are most likely going to rub him the wrong way (even though they may be like thorny branches and stickers all around you, and though you may feel like you live with poisonous insects....) v6

to just stay focused; (They may listen, or they may not... but YOU human, listen to what I say to you. Dont turn against me as those people do. Open your mouth and eat what I am giving you.) v8

The hand stretched out, offering to feed Ezekiel from the scroll of truth, wow. Open your mouth and eat... here we are, Lord. feed us. The truth isn't always pretty, but why would we settle for a pretty lie?

15 hour field trip with school yesterday so I arrive here a little later than usual....

v 7&8 "You must speak my words to them whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious. But you son of man listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel like the rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you."

"Speak my words whether they listen or not"--Lord give me courage.

"But you son of man listen"--give me ears Lord.

"Open your mouth and eat what I give you"--why do I turn away when you offer to feed me sometimes Lord? Feed me with your word and with your spirit I pray.

Also love that God is sending him out to this rebellious people. The Lord is ever seeking to bring his children back to him. Makes me think of 2 Peter 3:end of 9 "He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.
