Nehemiah 9

oh man. for some reason I read Nehemiah 10. Gleaned so much from it too that I feel "full" and don't want to stuff in Nehemiah 9 right now "just because". I'll take a look at it later on today.

end v2:"They stood in their places and confessed their sins and the wickedness of their fathers."

And then just an amazing account of the Israelite struggles and victories and interaction with God until this time in history. A fabulous read. What would be my account going back many generations? I do not think it is a requirement to go back into history as I confess but I really admire the passing on of history and lessons learned that is happening for this nation in this chapter.

Also the mistakes are not glorifies btu God is as they tell their story. This is key I think and I would need to author my history carefully to ensure that it pointed to God and not to the humans involved.
