commenting on this one day later, I had to mull it over. I guess what ended up sticking with me, was the power of influence that Vashti had through her behavior. Even the King and all of his leaders recognized it.

I guess it made me think of the power of influence we have, as people observe our choices and lifestyle and how we relate to our husbands and to the Word of God. It is a huge responsibility that none would "malign the word of God" on account of our example. Do I show submission to God in my actions/choices. To my husband as the one that God has given the role of headship and ultimate responsibility in our home? To the Word of God that is my standard and rule for life?
