"Wisdom calls to you like someone shouting; understanding raises her voice."

Reminds me of me trying to get my kids attention. Calling them above the hubbub of their noisy existence. I hate yelling. I want to be a good listener so God doesn't have to yell at me through the chaos.

If you listen to God you get even more treasure than if you don't. We should choose to listen to God and not just do what we want, then things will go good for us.

" my words are plain to anyone with understanding, clear to those who want to learn.choose my instruction rather than silver, and knolege over pure gold.for wisdom is far more valuable than rubies."v9-10-11

"my gifts are better than the purest gold,my wages are better than sterling gold."v19

gold and silver will only last for a while, but wisdom and knolege will last forever.God gives us a choice between knolege and wisdom or gold and riches,it would be wise to chose knolege and wisdom.

My favorite portion of the chapter is all the poetic verses about the age of wisdom, how wisdom is ancient, beyond ancient! v22 "The Lord possessed me at the beginning of his way. Before His works of old." A wow verse, I just loved reading it.

22 through to 31 also seem like beautiful reminders of Jesus and how he has always been and saw it all created and took delight in the sons of men, us being created (v.31 specifically).

Wisdom is yelling at us to hear for our own sake! v35 "For whoever finds me finds life. And obtains favor from the Lord;"

Wow.

" I was appointed from eternity,
from the beginning, before the world began. "

That is just hard for me to even fathom. :-)

"Then I was the craftsman at his side. I was filled with delight day after day,
rejoicing always in his presence... "

Great chapter!
Is wisdom supposed to be Jesus or the Holy Spirit?

Joyfully His, I was wondering similar things, there seems to be so much of the prophetic in this chapter...Is this a name for Christ?
