the spirit of antichrist. we see it so clearly. the same pride and arrogance that drove Satan at work in the King of Tyre.

What a contrast to see the Spirit of the Lord at the end of the chapter. "I will show my holiness when the nations see what I do for my people." v25

One the spirit of absolute corruption rooted in pride and selfish ambition, the other, HOLY, and accomplishing purposes that only He can fathom in the lives of His holy ones. Like I ask my kids, whose team would you rather play on? :)

I find those verses from 11-15 interesting, the way he's talking about both Satan and the King of Tyre.
I was just struck by the sovereignty of God again in this - "You were the anointed cherub who covers, and I placed you there"..."I put you before kings that they may see you..." God places people in power, even bad people, or people who start good but turn bad. He gives power and He takes it away. Ultimately, there is nothing that He is not in control of and we are foolish to think that anything happens by our own design.
It's humbling.

(on a totally unrelated note, my word verification is "yodism" - how appropriate, considering the Star Wars re-enactments that I am constantly watching between the boys...lol)
